Dag 07 – Min bästa vän (my best friend)

This one is easy. My sister. And Karin+Emma. And Mike. And... and... and...

Er, not that easy it turns out!

But since the title is singular - it'll have to be my sister. I guess ;) (Plus she's the only one who reads my blog so got to give her some credit there!)

Joking aside, we're close enough in age that we've (almost) always been able to spend time together without killing each other. Especially now we're friends rather than in an older/younger sibling dynamic. Well, that's how I see it - she might not agree!

She's the best sister you could ever imagine and I love her and I miss her a lot every day.

Dag 06 – Min dag (my day)

(let's see if this works - put yesterday's date on this post...)

My day? Today? Monday...

We've moved offices today. Everything was packed up in old office so we went to new place, moved some desks around and decided what should go where. Then we waited for the rest of the furniture and the crates of all our rubbi... I mean, stuff. Then we unpacked. It was very exciting!

Some colleagues I will no longer be working (directly) with gave me a beautiful orchid which really made my day. You can kind of see it below:

Also got some nice feedback on my interview and loads of warm welcomes to my 'new' team.

We also went to Tesco, bought lots of incredibly healthy food... Exciting indeed!

Dag 04 – Det här åt jag i dag (this is what I ate today)

Yesterday's post. Ahem.

Cheese & ham baguette.
Couple of little custard pastries. Yum!
Chinese takeaway; mixture of sweet & sour chicken, duck and some pork. Too much!!

..I'm so glad this fell on this particular day. Not!

Dag 03 – delayed

This one will be late, as you've probably guessed. I'm sorry... Am away at the moment but will catch up when I get home!

Dag 03 – Mina föräldrar (my parents)

I have the best parents ever. They live just the right distance away but will always lend me money when I need it...

I'm only joking.

Not about having the best parents ever!

Don't get to see them enough, though it's nearly New Years so not long now. We talk on the phone approx once a week, with some texts/emails going back and forth most weeks. We used to Skype but - and I'm not sure if this was at my end or theirs - it was so wobbly we sort of gave up on it. It was also really faffy, having to plan exact time to talk etc. But we should probably take that up again...

Bless them, they always worry about us. I think they worry more about Mike though - not only does he have to live in a cold house, he also has to put up with me! And as two people who had to put up with me for 19 years, they have nothing but sympathy for him...

Dag 02 – Min första kärlek (my first love)

I started writing this a couple of days ago and now I can't find it. Sigh. This is a good start to the month!

Well, if you know me you probably know this. When I was 15 I met a boy with curly brown hair and kind green eyes and who listened to what I had to say. We were together 3 and a half years and we did everything together.

There are so many words I could say about those years but it wouldn't be right. Beautiful words, because they were great years.

And it ended, like most things do at that age. And I moved far away and everything changed. There's nothing to be sad about because these are beautiful memories and there's nothing to miss because everything is beautiful today.

Dag 01 – Om mig (about me)

I really struggle with this question. Like in a job interview, 'tell us a little bit about yourself'.

I could tell you my age, but you probably know it already. I could tell you where I live, I could tell you what I like to eat, what my favourite colour is... but would that be interesting, really?

Oh, ok then. Let's do a fun bullet point list!

  • I like most colours, as strong and vibrant as possible! I've a weakness for red with white polka dots.
  • I could not care any less about football. Or really, any sport. But especially football.
  • I have a selection of Tigger mugs in all different sizes. It's not that I collect them as such, I just really like them. When I lived in halls someone stole my favourite one and I still miss it.
  • I quite enjoy walking these days.
  • Words are the best things ever and my head never shuts up. I just don't articulate them very often.
  • I'm 25 and it keeps surprising me how grown up this really is. Old friends are getting married and having babies and I've only just barely become a grown up!
  • I prefer a quiet night in to going out on the lash. Ok, maybe the above isn't so surprising!
  • I'm finding myself slightly homesick lately and I'm pleased I get to go home at the end of the month. If only for a week.
  • I'm a bit of an obsessive when it comes to checking my emails and my phone. A night off is a night away from the computer.
  • I think the guy on BBC Breakfast is fantastic.
  • Politics amuses me but I can't bring myself to be interested in it.
